In Aesop's fable The Fox and The Cat, the cat illustrates that in times of danger it is better to have one effective trick than many options. The fox boasts that he has many tricks; the cat says he only has one. Hunters arrive with their dogs and the cat quickly climbs a tree. The fox is indecisive as to what to do and is caught by the hounds.
